VMs: Gasparinus
Nick - found the reference at the British Library's online catalog; another
helpful source lately has been Kristeller's Iter Italicum, published by The
Warburg (1965), a comprehensive "finding list of uncatalogued or
incompletely catalogued humanistic manuscripts of the Renaissance in
Italian and other libraries.". I haven't been able to find anything about
Gasparinus elsewhere, but he probably follows the pseudoAppuleian tradition
for herbalists that we have seen so often in Latin; still, we should see
about those lunar tables...
On a completely different note, I managed to convey a small message of
grateful acknowledgment to Mary d'Imperio through a friend/ex-coworker -
perhaps she will feel inspired to join our list and check the progress
achieved since 1976 (and thus end the post-d'Imperio Era?)?
