IMO, if you think *that* is hard, you've barely scratched the surface of
the VMs. :-(
Imagine an object surrounded by legend - or by deception - or by haziness...
Imagine a manuscript whose pictures refer to nothing, or to things you
don't recognise...
Imagine a document where experts can't even agree what *century* it's from...
Imagine a text whose stats tell you everything about what it does but
nothing about what it is...
Imagine a language which has structure but no dictionary...
Imagine an alphabet whose iconography point in every direction but its
source...
In short, try hard to imagine a Rubik's cube as redesigned by M.C.Escher...
and you're beginning to grasp what the VMs is... (but only just).
Really, if you were even slightly close to an answer, you wouldn't be
asking about dots. :-(((
