I had some contact with GC before he went "off list"
and was under the impression that he was taking some
time off but would continue his work.  However, I
recently tried to get in touch with him to ask him some
questions about his work, but got no response via email
or through other methods of tracking him down.  Because
I believe that, at least to some extent, he and Strong
were on the right path, I am hoping he is just
monitoring the list and laughing at us while he
finishes his solution.  At the very least, his ability
to prompt debate will be missed.
