VMs: Rotae, VMS-glyphs, Opicinus and Friedman - on line now

In my OpenDir at http://www.xs4all.nl/~kazil/:

I have put up a *temporary mirror* of an article on Rotae and Circular
diagrams here (1,8Mb).
I think this is a "must read" document. If you're interested I'll try to get
*all* the pages of this chapter. Now I've only copied the pages with the
pictures.

I've also put up some documents from 1440 that contain VMS-like characters.
I think I've found EVA: a o c y n s iin q r k g d l t - or things that look
like them.
But this is not such a big surprise because these are normal letters,
numbers and abbreviations.
You might like to look at the jpegs, but I'm making a nice page out of them,
so you might as well wait. But on the other hand, maybe you can find even
more glyphs:

I've put up a very good treatise (in German) on Opicinus de Canistris. This
is a well documented person who made an original "freak" document on his
own. He may be interesting to get a better profile of the VMS-author:

Finally I've put up two chapters from Friedman's book on Baconian ciphers.
He says many wise words about what constitutes a succesfull and reasonable
decryption. He also warns about the risks of deceiving yourself and looking
for ciphers that are not there. IMHO this also is a "must read" document:
