VMs: Line initial p/f and t/k
Been busy recently, but I have initial stats for 33 VMS pages on where Line-initial 'P/F' and 'T/K' appear. I'll put the details on my page after I get more pages done, but here is the summary so far:
pages reviewed: 33 [f15v-f26v, f111r-f115v]
apparent groups (breaks in text that can be construed as paragraphs or break within a paragraph): 158
Begin with F or P: 97 (61%)
Begin with T or K: 51 (32%)
Begin with others: 10 (6%)
Lines that begin with F or P and are not apparent group starts (cannot tell if they are seperate groups as the line above is not shorter): 6
Lines that begin with T or K and are not apparent group starts: 29
What does this show? So far, it appears that the "Line Initial P/K, T/K as paragraph or sentence marker" still holds. Having only 6 lines of the hundreds that were reviews that start with P or F is pretty statistically insignificant.
Next I want to do a statistical analysis of the text within the various group starts to see if the statistics come out different depending if you have an initial P, F, T or K. That may show that the initiator is a key to encryption table/style/whatever.
