No they did not - as I said in an earlier posting, they mostly had
letters (actually the later ones were only half filled - alternate
cells). But the text strings below are the 'words' which were taken
from the first 17 entries in the first 40 rows (of 49 cells) of the
 first table.

 No numbers anywhere.

William/Jeff & all :-)

Thank you, BOTH! "CELL" is a word that has been _Missing_ in our vms
post-scribed-research vms lingo!

Cell should go to the (nicks) wiki-wiki vms area.... but I'm not quit
sure of its definition here?

1) An area of code that is ~static~ on transrciption?
2) A known character within the vms that is ~static~?
3) 1 of many areas (characters) that _return_ to solid fact of
statistics concerning the vms. (ref: decoding)
4) A UNIT that can be either a NUMBER or a LANGUAGE4 character.

Well, like I said, I cannot 'describe' the definition of the word
"CELL", but highly suggest we invoke it here and use it to "NAIL DOWN"
the few things agreed upon in commen.

A CELL Character _may_ be a gallows (e.g. eva T).
A CELL ~FLOW~ may be Lefthand vs Righthand scribing etc..
A CELL may also be an area? ?(like astro/Bio/etc..)
A CELL is an area on any giving table for decypherment.

???

FWIW: in my biased line of thinking, a ~miRrOrEd CELL~ will NOT
contain its opposite figure...., but, who knows - It might be SIMPLER
than we think (ha.haa).

The CELLS, if thought about like a HONEYBEE CONE, are _static_ in
nature... thus we can all "pigeonhole", (now a CELL).. conformation of
its contained facts.

best to you & yours

steve (just a thought) ekwall :-)

pps I predict 81 total CELLS in the vms!

ALL CELLS start out as "weirdo" until confirmed by others.
