	The far-away herbals are not necessarily an issue.
There may be a contextual reason for them to be located in a different
quire. Say the first set of Herbals denotes a common criteria like
plants that grow in a certain region - or plants that are 'processed'
in a like fashion. However, within that set of Herbals there are two
separate catalogues for yet another reason... so we end up with something
that has A-lang quires, followed by B-lang quires in one section of
the manuscript -- and later A/B Herbals that fall elsewhere.


	I for one am not convinced that 19 and 20 are valid quire markings
though. If 20 is valid then it is messed up just like quire 9 and that
folio is actually the last one in the quire - not the first.

	As I've alluded to before, I think that the first 3 quires are
relative pure in order and all A-Herbals, and that quire 4 should
also be all A-herbal; but one B-herbal got shoved in there to complete
the quire by somebody who didn't know A from B.

	Quire 5 and 6 are the B-Herbal collection from this first set
of plants sharing some kind of common criteria; with the unfortunate
infusion
of some erroneously placed A-Herbals.

	Quires 7 & 8 could be a second related collection One A-herbal, one
B-Herbal
with a lot of pages inserted incorrectly to really mess things up.


	Quire 9 - my favourite out of order page where the quire mark should be the
final verso of the folio not the first recto.

	Skip over the non-plant quires...

	Quire 15, I think should be ALL herbal-A, not a combination of Herbal &
Pharma.
	Quire 16, all A-herbal -- but the quire mark is missing.
	Quire 17, A-herbal and the reason - I think all 15 through 18 are A Herbals
		(just like 1-4).
	Quire 19 - I think should be ALL Pharma-A.

	But - who knows. I really see no reason to think (although nobody could
prove it yet)
that the quire marks (at least 1 through 17) weren't part of the original
order; they certainly
do provide clear evidence that the pages are messed up at least a little
with Quire 9 and
(if valid) quire 20 being in the wrong place.
