FWIW, "OUOVAVV" could just be a monoalphabetic cipher. And just so only one
of us wastes time on trying this out, I gave it a go. :-)
I used http://www.onelook.com/ with the pattern ???a?aa (etc), and found:-
(1) There's an old surname "Sosebee" which would fit the pattern.

NASCAR racing history. Even so, this would be my #1 candidate. :-)
(2) There's a carnivorous plant "cecilii". "named after the Indian collector

However, as he passed away only recently (2002?), it's not him. :-o
Alternatively, it could be two short words: however, I can't quite get
"DIGHERE" out of it, sorry. :-)
