Re: RE: VMs: ** Even the rosettes page **
Hi All,
I ended up using wget (the best *nix utility in the world) to download the search result pages and then greped through them for the various SID links. So, now I have all 209 links, which I then pump into wget again.
So, now I have all of these files coming down with names like 1006094.sid. As a byproduct of my procedure, I also downloaded all of the expanded info pages (the ones you get when you click on the image itself). I was going to write a little perl script to correct the names of the images (i.e. 1r.sid and 1v.sid), but I noticed that they did not include the folio info for each image.
Just to make sure I wasn't crazy, I checked the photonegatives, and they, in fact, do have the folio numbers. Does anyone see a way I can correlate these image numbers to folios (other than by hand)? I am a programmer and so I am lazy! :->
Either way, I would be happy to post a zip file of the sids and tiffs. I can post them tomorrow, when I get back to work.
Ted
