Indeed, this is exactly the impression I have from the list since I have
joined it. There are so many interesting ideas here... But no system
exists of collecting the partial results, no system of sorting them...
They just appear and disappear again, being forgotten by almost everybody.
And I have a feeling there are so many contributions that it has become
impossible for any single person to keep trace of them all. (I had been
playing with the idea of trying this, but I gave up, the amount of
information is simply overwhelming and steadily growing.)

Not bad idea I think. However, I'd recommend to keep the practice of
posting every contributon to everybody in the list (anybody can have some
great idea!), but groups could be made, that take care of contributions
and discussions falling into their field of interest. The members of these
groups could make a compilation of the results and put them - say once a
month or two - to a dedicated webpage. Such a webpage could be easier to
study that the entire "unformated" VMs list.
Moreover, such a place could be used to collect all the relevant knowledge
about VMs, that is spread around the web on individual websites.
Well, the idea is not so complicated, I am definitely not the first to
have it. Is there any problem I can't see?
Greetings
Lukas
