RE: VMs: f67v-?-?-f68r
It is interesting that the numbering doesn't suggest pages existed there
when the foliation took place. However, could it simply be what we're seeing
here is the result of some cut & paste operation in the rebinding of the
quire. Since the quire signature should have been the last verso, but was
shifted one place to the right - that final edge needed to be sewed into
place; so instead - how do I word this...
In order to sew the edge into the center gutter, the binder gave him self
some slack to work with and the first remnant we see is actually the edge of
f67v1. Then, of course - f68r1 which has a left edge was resewn into place
with the same amount of slack or overlap.
Is it possible that all we are seeing are the two edges sticking out from
the center because the sewing was done a half-inch into the two pages being
joined?
John.

Rene,
Take a look at the far right edge of the aforementioned MrSID of
f67v2/v1. The image shows what I would say is undeniably two cut
folios. Sleep depravation or reality?
