You're right about the "g" descender. I'd forgotten I'd worked that out. I
do like Nick's "pig me" idea, though I'd need more proof that there was a
blow pipe involved. :-)
As to monastery signatures, I remember seeing one a couple of weeks ago on
Philip Neal's site, astronomical manuscript, I think. Sorry I don't
currently have the url available. I saw one in another collection as well,
I think the Schoeneberg collection? Not certain on that. I'll check on
that and get back to you.
