I only can offer the view that in fact Occitan is not a Middle Ages name, in the good old French times you had Oil ( Yes ) language in the North and Oc ( Yes ) in the South but in fact I think linguists ( I am not that distinguished kind of persons ) talk about old Southern French as "franco-provençal"; let us take it as Provençal...
 
I know there is too a geographical distinction between say South
East or say Toulon ( Provençal ) and South West or say Toulouse ( Occitan ); but let us get it simple.
 
If Provençal is the right name then you have to think of it between the thirteenth say and the fifteenth century? This is a study for which I am not skilled enough ( at the moment :-) ) and anyway which is worth more than one web browsing.
 
Nevertheless ( ;-) after all I am a Voynicher ), I found ( I can tell you where if you want here is the one: http://www.provenceweb.fr/f/occitan/lexique.htm) those attached present lists in present French Occitan and Provençal :

FWIW. My guess? I think that some people involved in the VMS saga already told that months names were in French. Here is a hint. IMHO some of the months at least really are written in some sort of old French looking tongue. Hopes this helps, anyway.
