That's right. Have you tried bitrans? It only
works on Intel, of course, but perhaps some
of the standard macro substitution packages in
Unix can give some similar partial functionality.

The nice thing is that you can try out your own
interpretation alphabet at a moments notice,
without having to transcribe again.
