Hi, Eric and Pam,

This is probably neither OT on topic nor OT off topic, but I would say in the margins of it, and anyway I could not resist:

http://www.colorsystem.com/projekte/engl/61arse.htm

Leibniz is quoted in both sites, I think, and GB in one of them. Otherwise I am interested in the fact that our beloved AT is present too. And moreover about alchemy, of course. Smile.

I think that Yates is a good analyst of lullian contribution to logic. I am not an informatician, but I have the impression that this contribution is not far away from some modern attempts to rationalize and organize thought. I am possibly quite wrong about this.

RL is an interesting case for VMS I think, but I don't remember of any significant effort to link him with the manuscript studied. I read a recent book in Spanish which argues about the RL authorship of VMS but found nothing really consistent in it. However my Spanish is poor:

It s mentionned in Wikipedia (smile again), but not in Kennedy and Churchill's bibliography.

Yours,

Jean

Hi, Eric

Watch those insidious modern "interpretations"!
Smile.

more need of disputation between two philosophers than
between two accountants. For it would suffice to take
their pencils in their hands, and say to each other:
Let us calculate."

I like this guy's thinking.

Warmly,

Pam
