Interesting - but three obvious questions:-
(1) Which transcription are you relying on for word-length? (please don't 
say EVA!)
(2) You give the average (mean), but what are the standard deviations for each?
(3) What about in reverse? (ie length of words preceding 2-letter words etc)

If there is a significantly different distribution forward from backward, 
then there might well be a demonstrably non-random asymmetry within these 
simple statistics... something to think about, anyway. :-)
