it is just too bad there was no Pigantelli in Prague at that time. Emperor
Joseph II confiscated files of Prague Society and let them sent to Vienna.
According to our source in Rome, there are no Prague documents there and there
are none in Prague either. Very few documents were returned later back to
Bohemia, but they are now part of county archives as "jesuitica" and the search
is close to impossible. Even so, the existing ones are probably
younger than those we are looking for anyway.

Perhaps a closer examination of the Jesuit cause may shed some light on the
trail of the VMs following its departure from Prague. One of the
principles involved may very well have been Giuseppe (Joseph) Pignatelli who did
much to ensure the future success of the Society of Jesus.
