Jan: He was famous for his healing sills all around the town Krumlov and vicinity, he healked the burghers as well."
Question by Jean: references? details?
"As for transfer of Krumlov Library to Prague: in 1773 the Jesuit Order in Bohemia was abolished, the members had to move out of country. Prague archives were noved to Vienna. Moving their Krumlov Library to Prague means it was most likely moved from there to Vienna too, there were no Jesuits there in that time and all their possessions were confiscated.
As for Horczizky being born near Krumlov: Last Year, Rene found H. was born in Bojanovice. There are two Bojanovice in Moravia nad only Dolni Bojanovice in Bohemia, rather far from Krumlov. One of those Bojanovice is howebver close to Olomouc, the birthplace of Schaffner."Questions by Jean: Any reference to Olomouc as Shaffner's birthplace? Comment by Jean: The Jesuit library of Krumlov was moved to Prague; any reference to a subsequent move to Vienna? Here is an additional reference to Schaffner in Krumlov:Regards,Jean
