The photos are property of whoever took them (Yale). They can do whatever they 
want with them. There is nothing unusual with that.
It is not the contents, it is the photos.
If you take a photo of the Mona Lisa, you can sell it and prevent others to do 
that, if not, check the post cards sold at the Louvre. They have a copyright 
and an author too.
