What I still need to find out is whether this illustration
is part of a tradition or stands alone. It is very tempting to
think that it (or another similar one if it exists)
may have inspired the VMs illustrator. Of course,
the MS dates from the 10th C so even in case the VMs writer saw
it, it doesn't really help in narrowing down its date of writing.
Certainly, Vat.Gr. 1291 seems to have been at the right place
at the right time....
