Hi everyone,

Thanks for your comments! :-)

It would be nice to add "all text", "labels only" "no labels".

Agreed, I'll put that on my TTD list - should be easy to do. :-)

Nick, are you aware of that tool? Some, if not
most of its options would be useful in your
tool as well, as it allows one to work from a
fully commented transcription file, and auto-
matically get rid of all trimmings, interpunctions
etc and a lot more.

I haven't looked in depth at VTT (but should have done): that's going on my TTD list as well. :-)

One recurring issue with stats is that people use different alphabets - for example, with/without spaces, with/without commas, with/without gaps, with/without line-endings, etc. One of my design aims was to try to make all those kind of implicit assumptions explicit (ie, to give each a checkbox).

Wow! I do not expect that statistics alone shall crack the VMs, but that is
indeed a fine tool. The Analyze button produces no results in Opera 6.05,
works OK in MS Explorer 6.0. The results windows numbering could perhaps
remain visible after Analysis is done.

For cross-browser compatibility, I only tested the current Internet Explorer (6.0.2800) and Netscape Navigator 4.8, which both seemed to work OK. I'm not using any fancy DHTML tricks, so can't think off-hand what would be causing Opera any problems - I'll try to have a look, though.

I may have misunderstood your last sentence, but try selecting a different results window (1-8) for each analysis pass you try - previous outputs should remain on screen unchanged.

Statistics can only be calculated relative to a model - get the model right and the stats should follow. :-)

Cheers, ....Nick Pelling.....
