VMs: ANN-Lecture "Prophecy, Power and Patronage: Medicine, Astrology and Politics in Renaissance Milan" (11-18-03, NY)

Hi everyone,

Now *this* sounds like a lecture I'd *love* to fly to New York to attend... 
if only I could! :-(

Milan, medicine, astrology, politics, power, patronage, prophecy - how on 
earth could a single two-hour talk press all my Voynich buttons at the same 
time (whilst probably staying unaware of the VMs' existence?)

If anyone here does attend (it's tomorrow!), can I ask you to *please* take 
along a tape-recorder? :-)

Siraisi (who I have quoted on-list many times), who will also be attending
