This does not necessarily point to Brahe being the author - just that the origin of the VMS is later than some may think.  If Robert is correct (and I believe that more and more) then the text could not date prior to the late 1500s.  

Remember that the church had very much distaste for the way astronomy/science was heading at this time.  So if someone was going to study the concepts (maybe even a monk or priest) they might have hidden the text to keep prying eyes from finding out what they were really looking at....

I think this is pay dirt the image of the ptolomy universe has an EVA k
character on it! Also the m character with the line across the last decender
is reminiscent of EVA iim. The question here is where these symbols then
added to a new set or was the full set already in use but in different
places and then brought together. This seems to rule out Porta in favour of
Brahe. The only question I would ask is why would Rudolph be unable to read
a document compiled by Brahe? If they were in association what would be the
reason for Brahe to hide this information from someone he associated with?
