Agreed.  If we want places like the Beinecke to continue posting such great content to the web we need to treat the institutions with the respect they so truly deserve.

Otherwise we may someday just have a web full of retail stores.  Yuck!!!!

Jan,

I would agree that the best thing to do is ask.  Beinecke also requested
that they receive a copy (or was it three?) of any publication that included
their images.  Even though they don't have a copyright on the book itself,
they still own it, and they own the images.
