Yes, a PT word translates always as the same cipher word.
I guess that the long range correlation would be preserved for correlation
lenghts larger than the longest word (I have not done it, though) which would
suggest that the text is not random. I also guess that text in verse would
not show the verse-length peaks anymore as the artificial words do not have
the same metric as the PT).
