Hello

I wonder....

It is not impossible that our manuscript could have come from Florence
or Milan c.1480. In that time and place, very high quality soaps and
cosmetic unguents [1] could be worth their weight in gold. Is our
manuscript actually a treatise on the art of soap-making, gathering
ideas and esoteric information from all sorts of obscure and exotic
sources? Chemistry, alchemy, astrology, herbal lore, recipes, perhaps
even 'magic', all manner of relevant disciplines are represented
there....
