VMs: RE: Another barrel display

Jeff,
I hate to sound like HAL, but What are you doing, Jeff?

You're going to tell me more about this later? B#$$llsh#$Rt. I've seen
post after post that I can't follow, and I want let in on the secret. It
could be that I'm just dense or slow (my wife used to use less flattering
words for this personal phenomenon), but I don't understand what you're
trying to say.

Your posts are still in EVA, but you're attempting to "decrypt" something.
What are you using to determine the actual glyph? I know you've indicated
this doesn't matter, but each time I look at your lists, it apparently DOES
matter. I can't see you reaching these conclusions if it DIDN'T matter.

You're not giving character equivalents, breaks, or anything that is useful
to me. In short, you're not giving me anything that I could readily load
into a program and test. Perhaps this is why you have relatively little
feedback?

As soon as I figure out why Adobe and Microsoft Excel conflict, I'll be
presenting raw bifolio data so others may check my results and make a few
observations of their own. At the very least, provide us with a limited set
of rules by which we may duplicate your work and make comment.

Rene hasn't offered (as far as I can search) raw files for some of his
studies, but these files need to be present for others to verify
conclusions. (Not that Rene's work needs any support, as he is correct in
his findings.) It's just that these files need to be there to support
conclusions, so anyone may duplicate the effort based on the data that was
current at the time. If you extract digraphs, a file of these extractions,
plus the name and availability of the source file is in order so the
observer may duplicate the study.

I can tell you right now that if you're not passing at least some judgment
on glyph structure, you've signed on as a curator in the "Enchanted Forest".
The question remains about what assumptions you're making in this regard.
You're probably already aware that reptition is increased by viewing in EVA,
and you've been warned by its creators that it was not meant as a
cryptographic tool, so you've got something up your sleeve you're not
saying. Say it and let us in on it. At least give me enough info to
duplicate your effort and make comment.
