An excellent plan!  Let us know how well the color laser experiment
proceeds, I'd be quite interested to try this myself.

[It just so happens that I have a number of years of training as a
bookdinber, and my special interest is historical models.   So maybe I
can attempt to one-up you with a historic limp vellum binding sewn on
alum tawed strips ;) ]
